Veteran's Day

Honor those who fought- and fight- for our country The Veterans Day Story..." At the 11th hour, on the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, the guns of WWI fell silent and "Armistice Day" was born. Eight years later a Presidential Proclamation invited people to observe the day with appropriate ceremonies. With the passage of time it was changed to "Veterans Day". The national focal point for the official Veterans Day observance is at the Tomb of the Unknowns where the Presidential wreath is placed. " This taken from : www.vetsdayindallas.org

It's almost Columbus Day... and it is Conference Day here at Cabaniss!

Thank you so much to Mrs. Cupples from Roberta Tipps Elementary for sharing with us! We all enjoy learning about Christopher Columbus' voyage with the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria. Take a look at the hotspots - glide over the picture- and see what sites will add to your knowledge! Remember, I do the best to add to your knowledge by having this blog, but Mrs. Stabler isn't personally responsible for all the information that is available on the internet!
